We provide medical care to children with a broad spectrum of health problems. We treat pediatric outpatients in every medical discipline, including cardiac, endocrinology and metabolism, hematology and oncology, immunology as well as pediatric psychology and psychiatry. Pediatric psychology outpatients are cared for by pediatric doctors, with educational specialists providing additional diagnostic treatment. Our patient numbers have increased steadily as our pioneering treatment of diseases of the circulatory system and organs, endocrine disorders, metabolism and neurological disorders gain nation-wide recognition. We perform over 10 hematopoietic stem cell transplantation operations every year on patients with intractable diseases such as malignant tumors, blood disorders, immune deficiency disorders, and metabolic disorders. Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) treats premature and disease afflicted newborn babies. We have an outstanding record in this department, with most babies leaving the hospital free of any secondary complications. Our emphasis is on advanced, on going, medical treatment. As such, due to the intensive nature of pediatric care, we are able to see a little more than 10% of all patients that present.
