Because cancer accounts for the leading cause of death in Japan, victory of cancer is one of the highest national priorities. In addition, social demands for therapeutic approaches, not only to prolong life time, but also to realize higher quality of life, has been increasing. The Department of Radiation Oncology and Image-Applied Therapy provides the full range of latest radiation technology, including Stereotactic Irradiation (STI), Intensity-Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT), Image-Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT), and Four-Dimensional Radiotherapy (4D-RT). Our aims are;

  1. @ Improvement of treatment outcomes for intractable cancer
  2. A Development and deployment of cutting-edge cancer care to realize high quality of life represented by organ preservation therapy.

We also aim to establish and provide true multidisciplinary therapeutic approaches by collaborating with cancer specialists in various medical fields.
